Why Radiology Associates of Ridgewood Remains Leader In Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Services

Top Doctors Glenn Krinsky, Elliot J. Lerner and Howard Seigerman are representative of the reasons why Radiology Associates of Ridgewood has consistently remained the leader in providing outpatient diagnostic imaging services for more than 40 years.

Dr. Seigerman, a Diplomate in Diagnostic Radiology specializing in Neuroradiology, notes, “At Radiology Associates of Ridgewood we are always exploring opportunities to provide our patients with state of-the-art, cutting-edge imaging technology. We understand and never take for granted the sensitive issues and challenges our patients may be faced with. Our goal is to streamline and expedite accurate diagnoses and promptly communicate the results to our patients and referring doctors so that our patients can return to their normal activities as soon as possible.”

The equipment at Radiology Associates rivals that of leading academic institutions across the country. This free-standing imaging facility was the first in Bergen County to offer Breast Tomosynthesis-3D Mammography. The most exciting advancement in breast cancer detection in more than 30 years, a 3D mammogram consists of multiple breast images taken in just seconds to produce a three-dimensional image. The radiologist can look through the tissue one millimeter at a time and pinpoint the size, shape and exact location of any abnormalities. Radiology Associates has been designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

Radiology Associates is also the first and only facility in Bergen County to employ the GE 750HD Ultralow Dose “Veo” CT Scanner that reduces radiation exposure by up to 90 percent. Reducing radiation levels is particularly beneficial to younger patients, and those individuals requiring multiple follow-up studies, including patients suffering from cancer, lung nodules, urinary stone disease and aortic aneurysms.

Radiology Associates will also be the first and only facility in Bergen County to offer its patients the superconducting GE 3.0 Tesla Wide Open Bore MRI which is scheduled to be installed Summer 2013. Among the other services offered are Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, Bone Densitometry, Digital Fluoroscopy, Digital Mammography, Breast Ultrasound, Stereotactic, Ultrasound and MRI Guided Breast Biopsy. All modalities are accredited by the strict standards of the American College of Radiology. Continually striving to improve their service, Radiology Associates recently added additional evening and weekend hours. As a rule, same-day or next-day appointments can be scheduled.

A team of 17 top radiologists recognized as authorities in their respective subspecialties staff Radiology Associates. Dr. Krinsky is a widely published expert in the field of Body/Musculoskeletal Imaging and a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. His colleagues, Dr. Lerner and Dr. Seigerman, are Diplomates in Diagnostic Radiology with added qualifications in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology. In addition, Dr. Seigerman is Director of Diagnostic Imaging at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

Radiology Associates has also earned their outstanding reputation because of a strong emphasis on patient care and compassion – from the first welcoming smile at the reception desk and continuing throughout the entire process. As Dr. Seigerman points out, “We firmly believe in a team approach.”
