Radiology Associates: Forerunners in Their Field

By: | Tags: | Comments: 0 | January 16th, 2013

Radiology Associates has long been heralded as a forerunner in their field. Their breakthrough technology is matched only by their renowned staff of 17 board certified physicians. Dr. Howard Seigerman, a Diplomate in Diagnostic Radiology, explains, “Because each member of our radiology team is a recognized authority in their respective subspecialty, we are able to render the best possible diagnosis and, as a result, the best treatment options.” Radiology Associates’ equipment rivals that of leading academic institutions across the nation. Their free-standing imaging facility is the first in northern New Jersey to offer recently FDA-approved Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, also known as 3D Mammography. It enables the radiologist to look through the breast tissue one millimeter at a time, thus helping to pinpoint the size, shape and location of abnormalities.

The center also boasts the first commercial installation of the new GE “Veo” Ultra Low Dose High Definition CT Scanner which reduces radiation exposure by up to 90 percent, depending on the examination type and the clinical indication. Other services include MRI, Ultrasound, Digital X-rays, Bone Densitometry, Digital Fluoroscopy, Digital Mammography and Breast Ultrasound, plus Stereotactic, Ultrasound and MRI Guided Breast Biopsy. The results are usually forwarded to the patient’s doctor the very same day. Radiology Associates has also earned their outstanding reputation because of a strong emphasis on patient care and compassion. This is clearly evident from the first welcoming smile at the reception desk and continues throughout the entire process. Dr. Seigerman says, “We firmly believe in a team approach.”
